CH-53G helicopter maintenance

The challenge:

Jacking of the CH-53 helicopter for maintenance purposes

 

The customer:

Deutsche Bundeswehr (German armed forces)

 

The solution:

Jacking of the CH-53 helicopter using three tripod-jacks (model RS1031) and a hydraulic control unit (model SG133) to allow synchronous lifting.

The major benefit: The maintenance personnel no longer have to crawl under the helicopter to manually operate the tripod-jack pumps. This is a major consideration in terms of both ergonomics and safety.
