HYDRO will move US production of jet engine stands for European customers to its headquarters in Biberach, Germany. This strategic move allows HYDRO Systems to better align to the needs of its European customers, reduce shipping costs, and provide quicker response times. This will be particularly beneficial to customers such as Rolls Royce, who use jet engine stands from HYDRO Systems to safely transport Trent 1000, XWB, and Trent 700 engines.

HYDRO signed a global distribution agreement with Dynell. The innovative product range includes efficient diesel-driven ground power units, a completely new concept for solid-state ground power units and all kinds of connection systems including cable coils, pit systems, charging systems and connectors. First and foremost, this agreement is a benefit for all customers.

China’s international air transportation has experienced tremendous growth and major reforms over the past two decades. HYDRO early began to see this development and established a sales office in Beijing in July 2000. The 20th anniversary is a significant milestone is the foundation for further success in the Chinese market in the future.

The GE Customer Technical Education Center (CTEC), provides technical training to customer mechanics, powerplant engineers, GE employees and other representatives on a daily basis to help ensure fleet reliability. GE9x is the heaviest aircraft engine on the market and works with the HYDRO COBRA engine change system, which is now on its way to GEs training center.

The Corona crisis is grounding the world’s airlines and thousands of flights have been suspended. Based on the fact that our customers are not fully operational at present, HYDRO will reduce our sales availability at our German headquarters between April 14 and 17, 2020. Operations will continue with full force to ensure on-time delivery for our customers.

Every year Rolls-Royce holds the Strategic Supplier Award given for outstanding work and performance in their supply chain to two of their 6,000 suppliers globally. In January 2020 HYDRO was awarded the strategic supplier award by Rolls-Royce. The recent improvements have enabled the company to deliver above and beyond the expected KPIs within the various contracts and business interfaces with Rolls-Royce.

The latest HYDRO tow-bar family member has been successfully validated by Embraer for use on E195-E2 and E190-E2. Thanks to its smart design the tow-bar also works for A320 family incl. Neo.

Annual checks of their tools keep them safe and ensure a long tool life-time. That’s why THAI Maintenance decided to have their own active test stand at their Don Mueang Airport maintenance location.

Effective January 1st 2020 HYDRO delivers the full range of airframe tools for the 70-seat ATR 72 as well as the 50-seat ATR 42 aircraft. With supplying airframe tools from HYDRO, ATR benefits from a worldwide supply chain that is second to none, unrivaled lead times, and comprehensive service.

Weather conditions at the US east coast can traditionally be strong in winter. Engine shelters provide airlines as well as MRO’s, to protect workers and sensitive equipment from bad weather conditions.

The 22nd edition of inter airport Europe, the International Exhibition for Airport Equipment, ended with a record visitor number. HYDRO exhibited with two booths, showcasing the innovations “emover” and “Landing Gear Robot”.

During the Inter-Airport Europe show in Munich, HYDRO announced it has extended its global service footprint by signing a contract with Liftsafe Group of Companies.

During this year’s Inter Airport Europe in Munich, HYDRO announced that its successful partnership with TEST-FUCHS had been renewed for another five years.

During the MAKS show in Moscow, HYDRO announced it has signed an MoU with AviaDon to offer local services in Russia. Always striving to exceed market standards in the field of GSE, HYDRO will be able to significantly improve the service level through local support.

Dnata already has two of the new TOWUNIV8 tow-bars in use since February 2019 at Dubai DXB airport. The new TOWUNIV8 model is designed to cover all wide-body aircraft with a completely new approach that works with a range of models going from the A330-200 all the way to the B787-10.

Recently HYDRO global sales members have been trained at the HYDRO headquarters in Biberach, Germany, on the assembly and disassembly of the IglooMX® shelters. The time-lapse video shows both processes for a wide-body shelter.

With “Fast Customized Production” (FCP) we have created a products and service combination that is dedicated to the French market. FCP is intended to meet the specific needs of our French customers.

HYDRO was glad to meet their friends from Delta at MRO Americas 2019 in Atlanta, to hand them over a little trophy for equipping their Atlanta maintenance hangars with engine tools from HYDRO.

The TJ Series are wide-body tripod-jacks with a maximum configuration. The requirements of the users were the primary motivation in developing the TJ Series.

More than 300 EJAL systems have been delivered to customers worldwide since 1987. Another new generation of EJAL was developed for use with the new TJ Series tripod-jacks.

After delivering a first assembly jig in 2014 to PTDI, HYDRO successfully delivered an aircraft assembly platform for the manufacturing of the CN235 as well as C212 model. The challenging issue behind it: These two aircraft have nothing in common, but need to be manufactured on one single platform.

Air France decided to have their own test stand at their Paris-Orly maintenance location. The test stand HYDRO delivered has a capacity of 150 metric tons and easily met the 125% load over 5 minutes at the final acceptance-test on-site.

In October 2018, all HYDRO service centers worldwide became official Columbus McKinnon (formerly Yale) partners. Customers are able to benefit from maximum availability and minimize failures when it comes to their Yale chain hoists.

HYDRO signed a global distribution agreement with JB Roche (MFG) Ltd. and Liftsafe Fall Protection Inc. This relationship will give customers access to even more Ground Support Equipment (GSE) products.

The HYDRO service center managers from the UK, USA, Singapore, Dubai and Germany, as well as some HYDRO technical support colleagues participated in a two days professional Airbus training. This course was a final one in a series of expert training courses in the last months.

China’s major airlines and MROs participated at an expert training on the A350 XWB Split Engine Stand (SES) in Chengdu. The training was organized as a salute to Sichuan Airlines and its celebrated hero, the captain of flight 3U8633.

Started in 2008 with two team members today, ten years later, customers from all over the world depend on the unrivalled expertise of the grown team at the HYDRO Engineering location in Hamburg.

Since more than 10 years HYDRO is preferred supplier of Rolls-Royce. "We consider HYDRO to be an integral part of the Assembly Tooling & Ground Support Equipment supply chain", states Kiera Greaves, Global Category Manager von Rolls-Royce.

EGYPTAIR Maintenance & Engineering has selected HYDRO as its partner to support their requirements for Ground Support Equipment (GSE), as well as Airframe and Engine tooling.

HYDRO signed a five-year distribution agreement with Aviall, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, providing access to HYDRO's entire line of products.

The successful partnership with HYDRO as an “official Airbus service provider” was extended in February 2018, ensuring that the success story will continue.

HYDRO’s reconfigurable wing fixture project is part of the Airbus factory of the future. The ATI (Aerospace Technology Institute) recently published a documentation video on this.

The Inter-Airport Europe 2017 exhibition is just around the corner: The 21st International exhibition for airport equipment, technology, design and services will open its gates at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany from October 10-14.

Transporting aero engines by air, land or sea is unfortunately necessary and very challenging, due to the complexity, size and weight of these jet engines.

The COBRA engine change system has been designed to ensure a fast engine change and to minimize operational failure and technical risks.
