The Xtra makes the difference – What HYDRO supplies for the A350 XWB
HYDRO’s contribution to the newest and latest member of the Airbus wide-body family
The A350 XWB twin-engine jetliner is shaping the future of air travel by offering a complete family of new-generation aircraft that is suited to the market’s requirements for size, range, revenue generation, passenger comfort and the environment.
New-generation design
The A350 XWB has an entirely new, 21st century design with a wider and taller fuselage for extra space and enhanced passenger comfort. Three A350 XWB models are available – with the A350-900 offering a typical passenger capacity of 325 seats and an operating range of up to 15,000 kilometers (9,300 miles). With an overall length of almost 75 m, the A350-1000 has a maximum take-off weight of 308 tonnes.
High performance with the world’s most efficient large aero-engine
Designed with airlines' priorities in mind, the A350 XWB meets the multiple challenges of high fuel prices, rising expectations from passengers and increasing environmental concerns. The A350-1000 XWB is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines which deliver a total thrust range of 432 kN.
