It’s a radically new approach to the way engines will be protected from this point forward. It is part of the FLASHPLUG® family of preservation products.

 

Easy assembly

 

FLASHPLUG® AIR can be fitted very easily to your aircraft. It is easily installed in two to three minutes by one mechanic. No buckles, clips or straps are needed to hold it in place and no ladders or steps are required to install it.
FLASHPLUG® AIR manages without internal metal frames, which risk scratching your intake. Furthermore, there are no bulky foam sections that need to be dried out after a wet spell of weather.

 

Game-changing design

 

Conventional covers can trap moisture leading to corrosion risks and a poorly fitted cover can create more harm than good by damaging your lip skin or livery. Especially when storing aircraft for extended periods, the risk is heightened. The game-changing design of the FLASHPLUG® AIR allows operators to maintain their powerplants in an ideal storage configuration without incurring the cost of engine removal and storage. Furthermore, FLASHPLUG® AIR kits are supplied complete with a storage bag, installation instructions, safety tether strap, on-site repair kit and Schrader valve as standard. An Air pump (Electrical or manual) as well as an integrated Bluetooth Humidity Sensor that connects to a phone app, are available as optional features for added peace of mind.

 

FLASHPLUG® Family

 

FLASHPLUG® AIR is installed inside the delicate lip skin area and creates an airtight seal at the front of the engine. When you use the FLASHPLUG® AIR Intake in combination with the FLASHPLUG® LITE Exhaust engine blanks, this unique preservation solution will keep your engines at Relative Humidity levels of under 50 %. In the case of engines stored on-wing, such Relative Humidity levels have previously been impossible to achieve.
