Service agreement with Airbus renewed

HYDRO continues to be an official service provider for Airbus proprietary tools and GSE

With our 10 service centers across the globe, we have on-site locations at all strategic airline hubs, enabling us to provide one-of-a-kind support to OEMs, MROs, and airlines. This includes taking care of everything related to the recertification (calibration and load tests), maintenance, and repair of tools within the context of technical support for tooling and GSE.

Since 2013, HYDRO has been an official service provider for Airbus. More specifically, over 100 employees worldwide make sure that the required proprietary tools and the right ground support equipment are available at every single Airbus warehouse – inspected, certified, and in flawless condition. When the partnership started five years ago, two additional service centers were opened, with a service center in Dubai and then a second service center in Hamburg being added in 2013.

The last few years have been characterized not just by outstanding collaboration, but also by constant growth.

How Airbus benefits from the partnership

By sending your unserviceable tools to one of the various available service centers for repair and maintenance, Airbus and its customers can count on reliable lead times. Moreover, these stations receive assistance from Global Airbus Tool Engineering Support, which provides them with the latest Airbus tool documentation, including drawings, tool equipment bulletins, and manuals. We also offer repair solutions for tools which are out of the scope of manufacturer manuals and drawings.

These service centers enhance Airbus’ regional footprints, enabling the company to better meet its customers’ tool repair requirements and reduce mean transport times, turnaround times, and transport costs to a minimum. The service centers at all strategic aircraft hubs cover all regions worldwide, including Europe, APAC, the Middle East, and the Americas.

A successful partnership continues

The successful partnership with HYDRO as an “official Airbus service provider” was extended in February 2018, ensuring that the success story will continue.

The next step in 2018 is for the Tianjin service location in China to be expanded in order for it to be able to meet Airbus’ demanding standards. This will not only require new equipment, but also trained personnel with years of experience.
